“Turn your ‘I can’t’ into ‘I haven’t figured it out yet’.”
How powerful is this quote: “Turn your ‘I can’t’ into ‘I haven’t figured it out yet’.” The minute you start to apply this quote to your life; the minute you start viewing life as a classroom you’ll start living life more positively, more optimistically, more motivated!
I want you to start eliminating your “I cant’s”; or any other negative words or phrases from you vocabulary. Now, I know it is difficult and you might be saying to yourself: “If only it were that easy!” But, if that’s the case I want your to stop right now! And catch yourself being negative! You see, what I just did there? I know a few of you might have thought something to the effect of: “Yeah right, Danny, it’s not that easy.” Well, you see if we want to be more optimistic in business and in life, we have to learn how to be more conscious of our thoughts.
It is said that we, humans, have somewhere between 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day! Now, I know that you won't be able to catch every single negative thought; I’m not even asking that of you. What I am asking you start doing is: be more “present” with your mind, with your thoughts so that whenever you “catch” a negative thought you’ll be able to turn it into something that will work for you!
Now, I’ll be talking a bit more about this in episode #55 - which comes out February 20th, 2019. The title of that episode is: “Can Meditation Help You With Your Cleaning Business”. So, be on the lookout for that one if this is a topic that interests you.
But, like I said, the moment you are aware, the moment you are more conscoius of those pesky, negative thoughts, you’ll start seeing a shift in your mindset. The minute you say to yourself: “I can’t do this” or “I can’t do that” and you catch yourself saying it and you instantly change it to: “I haven’t figured it out yet” you’ll start feeling so much better about whatever situation it is you’re facing.
I’ve done so and the impact of just that small change is enormous!
Now look, I’m not saying that by changing this phrase you’ll automatically have the solution you’re looking for. But, I can guarantee you that when you change that “I can’t” phrase into a positive one, you’ll stay motivated to keep striving, to keep searching for your solution. And, when this happens you’ll more likely than not continue with full resolve to actually find the missing piece.
Let’s start getting the negativity out of our minds, you guys. Let’s start being more aware of the negativity - and not be judgemental, but just be decisive to let go of that negativity and instead welcome with wide open arms all the positive around us!
That’s it for today! I wish you an EXCELLENT weekend!
