This week was one of those that really reminded me what being a Cleanerpreneur is all about—learning, growing, and leading with both heart and humility. On Wednesday, we had a situation with a customer who wasn’t pleased. In fact, he asked one of my teams to leave his home mid-service. Why? According to him, they didn’t follow his instructions exactly when it came to vacuuming quietly during a phone call. While we always aim to provide top-tier service and be mindful of every customer request, this experience was a powerful reminder: we cannot make or keep everyone happy all the time. At the same time, it reinforced the importance of clearly communicating special instructions to my team and making sure they fully understand the nuances of each job. But above all, it reaffirmed something I’ve believed for a long time: I will never choose a customer over my team. My team works for me, and I work for them. They are the backbone of our business, and I stand by them. Another challenge came from one of our organizing clients who wasn’t entirely satisfied with the results. I’ll admit, when my team leader first told me, I was frustrated. But after taking a step back, I realized that this is what entrepreneurship is all about--fine-tuning our services, listening to feedback, and improving. Every bump in the road is an opportunity to adjust and elevate our standards. Yes, it’s been a lesson-filled week. And yes, it came with a swirl of emotions—frustration, disappointment, reflection. But now, as the week wraps up, I feel something stronger than all of that: gratitude. Gratitude for my team. Gratitude for the lessons. And gratitude for the opportunity to do what I love—running and growing a business that my family built and that I now get to lead. Wishing you all a restful, reflective weekend—and remember, every challenge is just another chance to grow. — D.P. Cleanerpreneur
